Multiplication Review Games

We've been reviewing math operations we learned this year now that the end of school is almost here. This week we've been focusing on multiplication, including reviewing the times tables and solving double and triple digit problems in a variety of ways. Students had a blast playing KABOOM! Each student picks a Popsicle stick with a multiplication problem on it. If the student can solve the problem he or she gets to keep the stick. But watch out! If the stick says KABOOM! the student has to give back his or her sticks. The student with the most sticks at the end is the winner.

Another times table review game students played involved 2 students picking a card from a deck of cards. Whichever student multiplied the numbers on the cards first earned a point for his or her team.

Other hands-on material we used to review includde dice and Expo markers with mini whiteboards. Next week we'll be reviewing division.
