November News

Our class began the month learning about the Pledge of Allegiance and our U.S election system. We read books about the pledge and election such as The Night Before Election Day and Vote For Me! Students wrote about what would be the best part, the hardest part, and what their goals would be if they were president, then drew themselves as POTUS. We even got to experience what voting is like when we visited the library and cast our vote for who we wanted as president...

In language arts we're nearing the end of our noun unit. The class learned about common, proper, singular, plural, possessive, and irregular plural nouns by doing a variety of activities such as a common and proper noun sort...

classifying noun cards as common/singular, proper, or plural...

and even went fishing for nouns that we turned into irregular plural nouns...

   Happy learning!
